CaTalk held @ AfriHUB @ Unical
The Students of The University of Calabar were treated to a Career Development Seminar christened CaTalk, at the Chinua Achebe Arts Theatre of the University of Calabar on the 26th of July, 2008.
CaTalk is a child project of AfriHUB Nigeria targeted at University Students and prospective Job Seekers to help them fully grasp and understand what employers of Labor expect of them in their job application Letters, Curriculum Vitae, and during job interviews.
The Event drew an unprecedented but highly enthusiastic attendance among the university students who despite being punctual participated actively during the different career discussion sessions.
Notable among the presenters were Prof. Manny Aniebonam (President / CEO - AfriHUB LLC), Mr. Bobby Ikazoboh (Executive Director, Strategy and Markets, Dragnet Soluions), Mrs. Eno Matin Eyo (Education Channel Manager, Nigerian Bottling Company, Lagos), Prof. Stanley Okolo as well as Prof Ego Onyjikwe.
A practical session on “Employers expectations at Job Interviews” was demonstrated to actually dramatize and educate the students on how they were to behave and answer questions while attending a job interview. Sample templates of Cover Letters and Resume were given to students to aid them develop theirs.
Malabites and Malabresses could not contain their joy at the end of the programe thanking AfriHUB for the quality of the presentations and for choosing Unical as a center where such seminar was held.
